We’re talking about change this week. And often, it appears as though when change happens, systems and structures built by our own strength get burned to the ground. And so in the midst of change, will you have the stability of character and spiritual maturity to endure? You are being ready for the Lord. That’s where we’re headed in this week’s episode.
Our hope is in God alone, not in the political system. Though we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, we can have great confidence that the Lord is intricately involved in every aspect of our lives and that He reigns above all. So what’s our part? We must vote and engage. But we must engage without giving license to the political spirit to influence our hearts. This week, Dave continues to teach about the authority of the believer and how to think and act as an overcomer in our culture of chaos and contempt.
You must not see yourself as a victim. Granted, some people experienced crisis and trauma early in life. But despite that, you are not under your circumstances as a child of God. This week, Dave teaches you how to draw from the strength and power of the Lord to walk as an overcomer in this culture of contempt and chaos. We are called to walk in maturity. Will you heed the call?
You won’t grow if you cover your sin. Open yourself up to truth and get free! A future leader must get to the root of his/her issues. If they don’t, they’re ripe for scandal. This week, Dave unpacks the importance of having a community around us and teaches us how to address generational patterns of sin in our lives so that we can move forward in wholeness.
Wide is the path to destruction. Narrow is the path to life. Are you hungry for life? Are you preparing yourself before the Lord? This week, Dave uses various recent scandals as case studies on leadership, narcissistic abuse, and the crisis many church leaders are facing today. Something is wrong. Leaders, we need to stop looking at how to attract a crowd and instead, focus our attention on healing the inner lives of those who are broken; those who are irresponsibly leading from brokenness.
We’ve got some things to clean up. We cannot hide sin nor mistreat people and expect to have God’s favor on our lives. This week, Dave takes us through Ezekiel 34 as a clarion call to leaders. Purity and integrity matter. The fear of the Lord matters. People are dying because of sin. Let’s rise up in purity and power for the glory of His name.
